Police man killed in Portmore last night

A police constable was shot dead last night in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine.

He has been identified as 36-year-old Jermaine Bennett.

Bennett was reportedly shot multiple times, including to the head and upper body.

Reports are that  Bennett, who also lived in Gregory Park, was visiting his five-week-old daughter in the care of her mother when he was attacked.

The police reportedly removed 10 nine-millimetre spent casings from the scene.
