Cow thieves nabbed in St Elizabeth
Two men have been arrested and charged with larceny of cattle, following an incident in Bogue district, Balaclava, St Elizabeth on Saturday.
The accused are 46-year-old Bruce Hill and 48-year-old Richard Powell, both farmers of Thompson Town, Trelawny.
Police reports are that about 11 a.m., an Isuzu motor truck was seen along Bogue Road with the accused men and three cows aboard.
The vehicle was intercepted and the men arrested.
The cattle were later identified by their owner; police say their estimated value is JMD 450,000.
The court date for the men is being finalised.
