Oshane Dunstan has been receiving more than his fair share of attention since he was first featured in THE STAR a few weeks ago.

Dunstan, who makes small cars, has been receiving numerous offers of assistance with many impressed by his talent and seeking to help him realise his dream of building motor cars.

Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke also met the youngster at his office, tweeting about the visit. Dunstan said he felt great about the visit, however, he expressed regret that he didn't have the chance to let Clarke see him operating one of his cars.

"I pulled it up and the visit was rushed, so I never got to put it properly back together," he said. Dunstan, who was using a friend's SIM card in a 'banger' phone before his story was featured, now owns a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A11, thanks to FLOW. He said he is looking forward to getting his Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate subjects and he has been assured that he would have someone at the University of the West Indies to mentor him regarding anything he doesn't understand.

Dunstan revealed that he doesn't go to dances, drink alcohol or smoke and that led to ridicule from persons in Simon, Rock River, Clarendon. But he said he now feels vindicted.

"They pretend that they are running jokes making comments like 'you mad, enuh bwoy, sitten wrong wid you head' and they also say mi life boring and this and that," he said. "I am now getting the happy face and they are showing me respect."
