Jamaican dancers Kimiko Versatile and Inspire are excited to have both done choreography for the music video of Sean Paul's new track, Scorcher.

"I was contacted by Jay Will, a director that I have worked with a few times before. He had seen my recent work for Switch it Up by Protoje and reached out, asking me to choreograph for an upcoming Sean Paul shoot," said Inspire, given name Shamara Spencer. "The director really pushed me with this opportunity and for that I am grateful."

Kimiko Versatile, given name Kimiko Miller, also has working history with the experienced director.

"He contacted me because he knows of choreographic skills and great work ethic. He is very meticulous in what he wants and he always goes all out, so I was just happy to contribute to his artistic vision," she said. Kimiko Versatile explained that this was a massive move for her career, noting that she also choreographed the dance for Sean Paul's section of his other sizzling song, Go Down Deh, featuring Shaggy and Spice.

"I am thrilled, overwhelmed and humbled by these experiences. It was a great honour working with Sean Paul and I'm looking forward to more collaborations in the future," she said, noting that international choreographers have reached out, commending her on the great job she has been doing in the industry. Although she wasn't on location for Scorcher, her dancers rose to the occasion. Inspire, on the other hand, danced in the line of fire with her crew and enjoyed every minute of it.

"Sean Paul has for many years valued the importance of dance in his works and I'm happy he still does," she said. "Ever since I was a little girl, I would watch Sean Paul's videos and imitate the dancers. The music video was one of the biggest productions I have worked on to date and it has made me more excited for future opportunities to grow as a choreographer. Dancing at 6 a.m. in heels ... I haven't danced harder in my life."

Inspire and Kimiko Versatile were ecstatic to work together, as Inspire is a huge fan of her colleague.

"When I returned to Jamaica after studying overseas, she was the first person I took a class from. I travelled from Mandeville to Kingston, just to take her class," Inspire said.
