Kitson Evans, father of missing Hanover university student, Chaleen Evans, has admitted that after three days of searching, he is beginning to lose hope of finding her.

The 27-year-old woman disappeared in bushes on the outskirts of the upscale Orchard Gardens community in Hopewell, hours after visiting her babyfather's home. Evans told THE STAR that he managed to speak to his daughter on her cell phone for close to more than two hours after she had run off.

"When mi get fi communicate wid her, she say 'mi a go jump daddy, mi a go jump'. Mi say no man how yu fi do that? So dem link mi other daughter a Kingston and one of mi niece phone a Atlanta wid fi har phone, and all a wi start talk to her," Evans said. He also said he is aware that his daughter was suffering from depression and also that they had a disagreement back at their home in Clifton district.

"We manage fi calm har dung and den me and she start talk and she sey 'Daddy weh yu deh?' And mi seh wi out a road, and she sey mi fi come fi har," he said. But not knowing her location, Evans asked for directions.

"She say she deh a one river. Next ting she say she a come up one hill, so mi tell har fi look if she see any house or any light post and come up pon the road, but wi never see she come up," he said. Evans said the cell phone went dead after, and he along with a search that includes Chaleen's babyfather has been searching for Chaleen ever since.

Evans said that his daughter is a very good person who loves to dress up. He also said that she is presently enrolled at the University of the West Indies studying banking and finance, with only six months left to complete her course. The search is expected to continue today with assistance from the police, fire personnel and members of the Jamaica Defence Force.
