Lead actor found for Bob Marley film

After much searching, Paramount Studios has found the actor it feels best suited to portray reggae icon Bob Marley in an upcoming biopic.

Actor Kingsley Ben-Adir, best known for his role as Malcolm X in the 2020 American drama film ‘One Night in Miami,’ was called in by director Reinaldo Marcus Green to add a “fresh take” on the story detailing Marley’s life.

Green is fresh off his latest project, the six-time Osar nominated movie ‘King Richard,’ which starred Will Smith.

It tells the story of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams and their father.

The untitled movie is said to have the support of the Marley’s family including his son, Ziggy Marley, widow Rita Marley, and daughter Cedella.
