Phone thief nabbed by off-duty cop

A phone thief who was busted by an off-duty policeman in downtown Kingston on Tuesday has been charged.
Junior Blair, 37, of Crescent Road, Kingston, has been charged with robbery with aggravation. Reports from the Kingston Central police are that about 4:30 p.m., a man was conducting business along King Street when he was pounced upon by three men. One of the men robbed him of his Samsung A30 cellular phone valued at US$200 (approximately J$30,650) and J$3,000 cash. The off-duty policeman saw what was happening, intervened and nabbed Blair.
