Police operation leaves four dead in Central Village

A police operation in a community known as Zambia in Central Village, St Catherine, has left four men were dead, and three firearms recovered.

The police confirmed at about 2:30 a.m., members of the police launched the operation, catching the men by surprise. 

A shootout ensued, and the four men were later found dead.

The police say Zambia has been an area of major concern for some time, noting that six weapons in total have been seized in recent times. 

They also said their focus continues to be on gunmen and the fight against gangs.
