Deliveryman arrested after getting food for sick partner

This young stunter impressed during the early rounds at Bike Sexy at Control Towers in Alligator Pond, St Elizabeth, on Sunday.

Colin Bailey, a food-delivery driver from the corporate area, pleaded guilty to breaching islandwide curfew measures, noting he was trying to purchase food for his sick girlfriend.

“When me lef and ting, she say she want some food. So me say me a go run and get it and come back to her, cause a delivery work me do right through. On my way back to her, the police stop me. I comply with them but the letter [of exemption] weh me have, it want correct,” Bailey told the court.

The prosecutor informed the judge that the police statements disclosed that Bailey was seen on the road at 12:25 a.m., and told the police “Offica, is a food me go look.” 

“How is your girlfriend now? Is she better? Are you guys still together?” the senior judge asked.

“Yes she’s okay. We still together,” the delivery man replied. 

Judge Cole-Montague, taking consideration of the mitigating factors, imposed a small fine of $15,000 or 30 days’ imprisonment.
