Police in Hanover have commenced an investigation surrounding the shooting death of three men and the wounding of four others in Santoy district, Logwood, Hanover, last night.

The victims were reportedly in the process of installing surveillance cameras at a supermarket in the community's square when four men, posing as customers, opened fire at them. Two of the victims were chased to the rear of the supermarket and shot multiple times, while the other victims were shot at the entrance to the supermarket.

One eyewitness told THE STAR that he had to run for his life to avoid been shot to death.

"Is like the man dem a put up some camera at the supermarket, and it look like man and man don't like it, suh dem come shoot up di man dem," the alleged eyewitness said.

"Mi si man a run inna all direction. Aa dung deh suh, side a di post office, mi haffe run and hide fi save mi life because di gunman dem a fire pure shot like dem inna show," the person added.

The names of the victims were not released up to press time last night.
