Alleged scammer to be extradited
St James resident Greg Warren Clarke is set to be extradited to the United States, to face criminal charges relating to international money laundering.
The matter was mentioned on Tuesday morning in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court before Senior Parish Judge Lori-Ann Cole-Montague.
It is alleged that Clarke is a co-conspirator in a lottery scam syndicate and is accused of committing wire and mail fraud.
Crown Counsel Syleen O’Gilvie informed the judge that documents were served to the accused’s lawyer Henry McCurdy.
However, Clarke indicated that he will sign a consent form, waiving his rights to a formal preliminary hearing of the matter.
Senior Judge Cole-Montague signed the warrant of committal for the accused man, leaving only arrangements to be made for Clarke’s extradition to the US.
