St James police find gun, ammunition hidden in socks

The St James police seized a Glock 9mm pistol and a magazine containing four 9mm cartridges during an operation in Bouge heights in the parish yesterday. 

The weapon and ammunition were found hidden in a pair of multi-coloured socks in an abandoned building in the area.

The police say during an operation along Comet Drive in Bogue Heights, cops searched an abandoned building and the socks with the weapon and ammunition were found covered with a sheet of zinc.

No arrest was made.
