‘Family issues’ plague Queenie and Dewy

Following a one-sided argument on social media yesterday, fans of Queenie Lady Gangsta are urging her to calm down and work things out with her husband Dewy.

A month after celebrating their first wedding anniversary, she said Dewy walked out of their matrimonial home for several hours following a disagreement concerning her mother-in-law and his babymother.

"He doesn't feel like being my husband today but mi wah be him wife every day. Memba a him come married to mi, a dat bun mi eno. Mi tell dis man say mi never want any man and den now yuh ago come show off on mi and a act like mi a di worse, him and him people dem. Mi and him don't have any problem concerning gal ting or money ting. Him nuh sleep out or anything, it's more a family issue," she told THE WEEKEND STAR. Queenie revealed that they have been having frequent arguments in relation to persons close to him.

"Mi alone nah sit down and fret. Him leave the house after 8 o'clock and mi say him gone breeze out. But mi see 12 o'clock come and mi nuh see Dewy. Inna di 2 o'clock him call mi and ask if mi okay. Mi call him back about an hour after and him nuh answer. Mi call him infinite time and him nah answer," she said. "Without him there is no us. Mi can't hold tings inna mi belly anymore. Mi a release my soul and mi talk to God and pray before mi do it. Dewy is very stubborn. Mi tell him not to go away sneaky because I am going to go on Instagram. Mi nah sit dung and mad and depress."

Queenie met Dewy, who is 20 years her junior, while she was visiting Jamaica in August 2020. They tied the knot on March 20, 2021. Last month, the couple caused divorce rumours after Queenie declared on Instagram that anyone who wants Dewy should take him. She, however, stated that her remarks were just her way of feeding the narrative of naysayers about her relationship.
