Some Kingston College students were this morning turned away from going to classes as it was said that they did not meet grooming standards.

The inspection exercise was led by the principal and dean of discipline.

The process saw several students being inspected and deemed unfit to be admitted.

Some of the boys stood outside the school gate on North Street while others made their way home.

“Sir a the last week of school, we have exams next week. This not right. The government says they must not turn us out and this is what they are doing,”an angry grade 11 student told The Star.

Parents also fumed.

“This completely goes against what the ministry [of education] says. Most of these students are preparing for CXCs. If anything happens to any of these boys, it will be on KC,”a disgruntled parent said.
