Major Ganja bust in Clarendon
April 28, 2022
Earlier today, officers from the Marine Police Division seized over 1000 pounds of Ganja during an operation along the Portland Bight coastal area in Clarendon yesterday.
The substance, which was valued at US$1.7 million or approximately J$255 million, is the second major drug bust this week.
According to reports, shortly after midday cops conducted an operation in an area known as Colon Bay, which is heavily covered by mangroves.
During a search, several white knitted bags were found hidden among the mangroves.
A closer inspection revealed that the bags contained smaller parcels of Ganja weighing 1,714 pounds in total.
No arrests have been made.
