Penis reattached after six years

A man who had a penis on his arm for six years has finally had it reattached between his legs.

Malcolm McDonald suffered a dreadful infection that caused his member to turn black and fall off back in 2010.

Doctors offered to build him a new penis and it was due to be placed on his groin in 2015, but a lack of oxygen meant it was grafted on his arm instead.

McDonald says he was living a "nightmare," as he had to cover it with long sleeves during the warm weather, and the coronavirus pandemic meant the corrective surgery was pushed back.

His problem has now been fixed after a nine-hour operation, and McDonald hopes that it can be a "turning point in his life".

Speaking on the Channel 4 documentary The Man with a Penis on His Arm, he said: "The first thing I did was look down and I was like, 'Oh my days. They got it this time.' I feel like a real man again.

"Can you imagine six years of your life with a penis swinging on your arm? It's been a nightmare!"

Woman dies after her burial was halted

A woman's funeral was interrupted after it turned out that she was alive.

Rosa Isabel Cespede Callaca was being laid to rest in Peru last week when she started banging on the lid of her coffin. Stunned relatives opened it and found her alive with her eyes open.

Callaca was quickly transferred to hospital and put on a life-support machine, but her condition soon deteriorated and she passed away a few hours later.

Cemetery caretaker Juan Segundo Cajo said: "[She] opened her eyes and was sweating. I immediately went to my office and called the police."

Callaca was presumed dead after being involved in a serious car crash last month, and her outraged relatives now want to know why the mistake was made.

An unnamed aunt said: "We want to know why my niece reacted yesterday, when we were taking her to be buried.

"We have the videos in which she pushes and touches the coffin."

Flat-faced dogs have shorter lifespans -- study

Jack Russell terriers live longer than any other type of pet dog in the UK.

The breed has a life expectancy of 12.7 years, according to research conducted by the Royal Veterinary College. They were followed by Border collies, who live for an average of 12.1 years.

Flat-faced breeds were found to have the shortest life expectancy, with French bulldogs only living for an average of 4.5 years and English bulldogs at 7.4 years.

The experts suggest that the lower life expectancies of flat-faced breeds are related to a greater risk of breathing problems and spinal disease.

The findings are based on a random sample of 30,563 dogs that passed away between January 2016 and July 2020 from 18 different breeds and cross-breeds.

As in humans, there was a difference between the life expectancies of male and female pooches, with male dogs living, on average, for four months less.

Dr Dan O'Neil, associate professor in companion animal epidemiology at the Royal Veterinary College and co-author of the study, said: "Dogs have helped so many humans get through loneliness and isolation of the COVID pandemic.

"These new VetCompass Life tables enable owners to now estimate how much longer they can benefit from these dogs."

Man struggles to satisfy his nine wives

A man with nine wives has been forced to scrap a sex schedule.

Arthur O Urso, from Brazil, made headlines last year after collectively marrying his nine female partners in a "protest against monogamy", as he and his first wife Luana Kazaki are swingers.

Arthur has already been divorced by one wife and he has been struggling to satisfy the sexual demands of all the women. He did introduce a schedule for when he could make love, but found it too stressful sticking to it.

The Brazilian model said: "They all want to fulfil my sexuality at any cost. They are happy to make it their goal.

"Our sex life is really fun and pleasurable, and initially I tried to have sex by appointment.

"But following a timetable caused a lot of problems, and sometimes I felt like I had to have sex because of the schedule, and not for pleasure.

"On other occasions, I had sex with one wife, while thinking about another."

Arthur claims that his sex life is now better than ever after he decided to let things "flow naturally".
