Man charged for killing St Catherine businesswoman

A 34-year-old man from Maiden Lane in Kingston has been charged with the murder of a St Catherine businesswoman.

Errol Williams, otherwise called 'Coolie Man' or 'Richie', has been charged with the murder of Nadine Kelly-Reid of Kitson Town, following an incident in Johnson Pen, also in St Catherine, on Friday, March 4.

Reports are that about 10:30 a.m., Kelly-Reid, 47, and a number of people were on the compound of a manufacturing company when a car drove up. Armed men exited the vehicle and opened gunfire, hitting Kelly-Reid and two men. The police were summoned and the injured were transported to hospital, where Kelly-Reid was pronounced dead and the two men were treated.

Williams was arrested on May 18 and charged with murder, shooting with intent, two counts of wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. His court date is being finalised.
