Farmer to spruce up house after $1-million win

J. Grayson is far advanced in his plans to add a bedroom to his house. The golden ager, who has been held back by illness for some time, recently won $1 million in the Digicel Golden SIM promotion. He said that he plans to use the money to put the finishing touches on his family home over the coming months.

Grayson also plans to buy a new stove and invest in his family's farming business, rearing goats and chickens.

"I feel very good and happy, and I am giving thanks for what God has allowed me to receive," said Grayson, who described himself as being blessed.

The elated farmer qualified for the Digicel Golden SIM promotion by adding credit to his prepaid number, which he has had since 2001.

"If I don't have credit on my phone, I don't sleep well. Sometimes I even borrow credit and pay it back afterwards," Grayson said.

The rural St Andrew resident is the third winner in the 21-week-running Digicel Golden SIM promotion.
