14-day "reset" underway in Montego Bay
The Transport Authority and several government agencies in St James have started a 14-day operation to bring order to the capital, Montego Bay.
The initiative, which started Monday in the tourism mecca, is targeting vendors, taxi operators and other motorists who park or sell in restricted areas, and disobey stoplights.
Under the theme 'Restoring Paradise, a Public Order Reset', the Transport Authority, St James Municipal Corporation, the police's Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch and soldiers have been on the roads since 6 a.m.
