17-y-o found with homemade firearm

A 17-year-old male is currently in custody after a homemade firearm and a 9mm cartridge was found in the teen’s bag.

According to the police, 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, the police were summoned to the retirement District in St Catherine, after residents reported hearing explosions.

When the lawmen arrived, they observed the teen acting in a manner that aroused the their suspicion.

He was accosted and searched when the firearm and ammunition were found.

He was subsequently arrested.
