Five persons shot, one fatally in St Mary shooting

The police in St Mary have confirmed that one man is dead, and four others injured after they were shot by gunmen in Stewart Town in the parish on Tuesday morning.

It is reported that the men were walking along the Stewart Town main road, near Oracabessa, when a car drove up with several men aboard. 

The occupants of the vehicle allegedly fired shots, hitting the men, before speeding off. 

The four of the men were later found suffering from gunshot wounds, while the other was dead as a result of injuries received. 

The deceased has yet to be identified.
