Double murder rocks Mocho

Detectives assigned to the Major Investigations Division (MID) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of two men and the injuring of four others in Darlow district, Mocho, Clarendon, last Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Irvin Wright, 37; and Jason Lewin, 24, both construction workers of Darlow district.

Reports are that about 9 p.m., a group of men were at a shop having drinks when a white Toyota Probox drove up. Two men armed with handguns exited the vehicle. One of them entered the shop and opened fire at the men. The police were summoned and on their arrival, all six persons were taken to hospital where Wright and Lewin were pronounced dead.

The four other men were admitted for treatment; one man is said to be in critical condition.
