Police find 900 rounds of illegal ammo in St James warehouse

The St James Police have launched an investigation into the seizure of four firearms and nine hundred rounds of ammunition which were found in warehouse in Montego Bay in the parish on Thursday.

According to reports from the Montego Bay Police, about 2:24 p.m., Customs officers were carrying out routine checks when the following items were found:

Two Smith and Wesson 9mm pistols and four magazines

One Ruger 9mm pistol along with one magazine

One Remington R51 pistol along with two magazines

Nine hundred 9mm rounds of ammunition

The police were summoned and the firearms and ammunition were seized pending further investigations.
