Teenager hospitalised following shooting in Braeton

While the St Catherine South police place the community of Braeton under a curfew, a teenager who was shot and injured in a deadly attack on Wednesday remains hospitalised.

The teen, who is said to be a student, was injured about 1:20 p.m., by a gunman who also shot and killed 20-year-old Leshawn Lewis.

It is reported that Lewis, also known as Eddie, and the teenager were both shot multiple times by the gunman while at a house in the community.

They were assisted to hospital, where Lewis succumbed to his injuries and the teenager admitted.

The incident comes days after another young man was shot and killed on Monday along Oleander Drive, also in Braeton "Middle East" Meadows. 

Three other persons were injured in that shooting.
