Manchester carpenter charged with murder

Twenty-four-year-old Davion Allen, otherwise called ‘Little Chubby’, was arrested and charged after he allegedly shot and killed a man, and injured two others during an altercation. 

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Andrade Hines otherwise called ‘Claffy’, construction worker.

The incident occurred on April 30, at a party in Top Greenvale, Manchester. 

According to police reports, about 12:09 a.m., Allen and Hinds were at a party when an argument developed between them.

During the altercation, Allen, who was allegedly armed with a handgun, opened gunfire hitting Hinds and two other patrons.

The police were alerted and the injured people taken to hospital where Hinds was pronounced dead on arrival, and the other two persons admitted.

Investigations led to Allen’s arrest on Tuesday, May 02. On Thursday, May 04 he was charged after a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.

In addition to murder, he has been charged with wounding with intent (2 counts), possession of a prohibited weapon and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony, stemming from the same incident.

His court date is being finalised.
