Winning St Jago quiz team gets donation

The St Jago High School quiz team, who successfully defended their title against Calabar High School in the finals of the competition, received a donation from the St Catherine Municipal Corporation for their hard work. 

The corporation have made its presentation of $275,000 to members of the team on Wednesday during the monthly general meeting at Emancipation Square in Spanish Town.

A series of commendation and congratulations were given by several councillors, some of whom are affiliated to the institution.

Vice Principal Antonette Wright-Dallen said that the money will be of great help to the school.

"We are thankful for  the generosity of the corporation for honouring a promise made," she said.
