St Catherine higgler held with dozens of stolen corn

The Old Harbour police have arrested and charged a higgler with praedial larceny after he was held with 17 dozen ears of stolen corn.

He has been identified as 35-year-old Wayne Taylor. 

According to the police, about 2:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, the police were in Colbeck, a community near Old Harbour, when they observed Taylor riding a bicycle with a bag in his possession.

The police accosted him, and checks made revealed the bag contained 17 dozen ears of the stolen crop were recovered.

Taylor was subsequently taken in custody on suspicion of praedial larceny. He was official charged after a question and answer session.

His court date is being finalise.
