June 15, 2023

Two men involved in a brawl at Clock Tower Plaza in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, were ordered to serve 40 hours of community service.

Richard Chin and Lloyd Campbell pleaded guilty to the affray on Wednesday when the matter was mentioned in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

The court heard that Chin, who was armed with a cutlass, and Lloyd, who had a brown handle ratchet knife, were seen fighting in the plaza. It was not shared in court what caused the brawl.

"Do some painting or something. Summer is coming up and school will be on holiday. Just give some free service," Senior Parish Judge Paula Blake-Powell informed the men.

Chin and Lloyd also pleaded guilty to being armed with an offensive weapon and were each fined $2,500 or 10 days' imprisonment.
