June 21, 2023

Evan Graham, a 66-year-old resident from Spanish Town in St Catherine, was arrested and charged after allegedly scamming two women out of over $100,000.

It is reported that Graham promised the women help in securing overseas domestic jobs for a fee, but after some time of waiting, the women realised they were victims of employment fraud.

A report was made to the police who arrested Graham following an investigation. She was charged with obtaining money by means of false pretence.

When the matter was mentioned in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, she was unrepresented.

Graham informed the court that she is suffering ill-health and required medical  attention.

The judge Nathalie Creary-Dixon then asked that her station document be endorse for medical check.

It is reported that in March 2023, Graham collected $45,000 from one complainant and $60,000 from the other.
