Teen held for senior citizen’s murder
A teen labourer has been charged with the murder of a senior citizen in Trelawny.
Giovannie Robinson, 19, of Barnstable in Stewart Town, has been charged with the murder of 77-year-old Hewitt Clarke.
Reports are that about 6 p.m. on June 24, Clarke was found motionless by citizens in his pickup truck, which was parked in the front of his yard, with chop wounds. The police were summoned and upon arrival, Clarke was seen in the right front passenger seat with multiple slashes to his hands, chin and chest. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The following day, Robinson turned himself in to the police where he admitted that he stabbed Clarke to death with a machete. He was charged on Tuesday, following an interview.
