Clarendon man killed days after curfew

July 03, 2023

The police have launched a probe into the shooting death of Jerrado 'Brown Man' Morgan, who was shot dead at a party along Top Hill Road in Clarendon on Monday.

Morgan's death comes just two days after the end of a curfew in the area, which was aimed at curbing the climbing murder rate.

It is reported that the deceased was pounced upon by a lone gunman who opened gunfire hitting him in the upper body.

The police were summoned, and on their arrival, Morgan's lifeless body was seen along the road. The police say his body was positively identified by his mother.

A suspect has since been identified in Morgan's killing, the police say.

Up to June 24, the parish had seen a 35.9 per cent increase in murders, having recorded 53 murders when compared to 39 homicides over the corresponding period last year.
