Confessed molester to be sentenced
The sentencing of a Corporate Area man, who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old while she slept, was delayed on Tuesday after the social enquiry report requested by the judge was not completed.
It was shared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court that in December 2021, the child was sleeping when she felt the defendant rubbing on her vagina. The defendant pleaded guilty to indecent assault on an earlier court appearance. He was to be sentenced on Tuesday by Parish Judge Venise Blackstock-Murray, however, the criminal records and social enquiry report requested to assist with sentencing, were not made available to the court.
The matter was adjourned until July 25 when it is expected the defendant will be sentenced. He was also remanded in custody until then. - T.T.
