Families worried as missing men feared dead
Last Saturday night, Maxfield Avenue residents Donovan 'Drugz' McEwan, 30, and Tarrel Hinds, 32, along with another man travelled to Clarendon to meet with a friend.
McEwan, Hinds and the white Toyota Axio that they were travelling in have disappeared without a trace. Their loved ones are convinced that they are dead but are seeking closure, and to give them a proper burial.
"They are dead because they wouldn't just leave and don't contact anyone. Drugz knows my number out of his head so he would reach out. Their phones turn off and honestly we are afraid. We just want their bodies," an acquaintance of both men told THE STAR.
The woman said the trio was expected to return to Kingston on Saturday, but said they received a distressing call from the driver of the vehicle that something terrible had happened.
"The driver say dem reach di location to the person who dem go check. The person said dem should go and pick up another person and take them to a place name Cemetery Lane weh deh near a swamp. By the time him fi draw brake, a next vehicle pop up behind dem and man jook dem. Him say dem run off in different directions and when him a run, him hear couple shots and that's it," she said.
The woman stated that McEwan was recently released from prison after serving time for murder. She said Hinds, however, just followed the men to Clarendon.
