Going by the moniker Minni Bad Dolly, Trishawna Connolly had one goal: to be the most lyrical and popular female dancehall artiste to come from Jamaica.

But, these days, she is singing a different tune and is lashing out at the habits she once held dear to her heart. With close to more than 80,000 followers on TikTok, Connolly, who is now a self-proclaimed apostle, is known as Changes 22 and operates The World Changes 5 Fold Ministries. Her mission is to win souls for Jesus Christ.

"I had collaborations in Intence, Rytikal and I was very well on my way. I had a manager and also I was aspiring to do the same thing that I am now speaking against. I use to smoke, I was a hothead and I was all about bleaching and prettying up, and I used to go around and sleep with who I want to sleep with. All the things I am speaking against, I was it," she said.

The Gordon Town, St Andrew resident who has traded her skimpy outfits for head scarves, coats and longer dresses, said it was a set of life-changing experiences in 2020 that led her to seek refuge in Jesus Christ.

"I was a very pretty girl and then mi just get black and sick. My body parts started to smell foul and I wasn't sexually active. I was building a house and I was very focused on making the money, so I didn't have any time for sex for about eight months," she said. Connolly believes she was a victim of witchcraft, a spell set on her by those who did not want to see her succeed. She showed THE WEEKEND STAR pictures which showed her looking wild and possessed. Her weight had also decreased significantly. Connolly said she suffered in silence, as persons thought that she was having mental issues.

"My breath was locking off and, when I was in bed, it felt like something was coming on top of me. It was crazy and every day I thought I was living my last day. I use to beg men to sleep in my bed beside me and throw their hands around me just because mi fraid something come over mi at nights. I wasn't intimate with all of them but I did go to some lengths because of desperation and being lost in sin," she said.

Shortly after the pandemic hit local shores, church leaders facilitated worship online. Connolly said one of her former friends introduced her to an obeahman, but his rituals did nothing to mend her condition. She said she began searching for online sermons and that was when she came across Shadeen Anglin's YouTube channel.

"She spoke into my situation and that is how I started to gravitate towards her sermons. Remember, church never open until like the late part of 2021, suh it was a real warfare on mi because I did not die. So the enemy started to send more witchcraft at mi. I was wondering 'what did I do? And then the Lord gave me a revelation that witchcraft was in my bloodline, so the enemy was using it to prevent me from getting to Christ," she said.

Connolly said, when the restriction on physically attending churches was lifted, she dashed into the first one she could find.

"Honestly, I just wanted to be delivered to go back go live mi life. I wasn't thinking to tie up my head and go on TikTok and talk about God. But, the more you start going to God is the more God start to take sin away from you. I don't even remember when I started to stop smoke but I did. God just started working on me and, before I knew it, my life was changed. This was my second baptism, as I baptised years ago but backslide, " she said. In February 2022, Connolly got baptised at the Faith Deliverance Lighthouse Prophetic Ministries.

"I have never dropped my mantle and I grew and grew until the Lord picked me up and used me as a testimony to tell young people that Jesus is real."
