21-y-o charged with stealing items from school

The St Ann police say they have arrested and charged 21-year-old Dontae Wilkinson, after he allegedly broke into an office at a school in Ocho Rios and stole several items before escaping. 

It is reported that about 8:22 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, a teen, who was at the school completing an assignment heard sounds coming from a section of the building and went to investigate.

Wilkinson was seen running towards the concrete fence. He reportedly jumped the fence and escaped in the area.

The police were summoned and checks made.

It was discovered that Wilkinson gained entry to the building by removing wooden louvre blades from a window; and stole several items.

He was pointed out to the police on Saturday, September 30 and subsequently arrested and charged with school house break-in and larceny

His court date is being finalised.
