Infant found by roadside in Trelawny
An infant girl was found wrapped in a blanket along the Sawyers main road in Trelawny on Thursday night.
The police say a citizen found the child about 7:00 p.m., after a motor car allegedly drove past her, stopped, and placed something on the side of the main road.
The police were summoned and the newborn was taken to the hospital where she was admitted. The Child Protection and Family Services Agency was also contacted.
The Trelawny Police are seeking the public's assistance to locate the infant's parents.
