Three kilos of cocaine seized in Portmore; one man charged
The police say they have arrested and charged 37-year-old Amos Lee, after they found him with three kilograms of cocaine during an operation in Portmore, St Catherine on Friday.
It is reported lawmen were carrying out operations along the Port Henderson main road when they saw Lee driving a Honda Stream motor car and signalled him to stop. He complied.
During a search of his vehicle, the cocaine, estimated to have a street value of US150,000, and $26,000 were found in his possession.
He was subsequently arrested; he was charged on Tuesday, October 17 after he was interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
Lee was charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, conveying cocaine, and conspiracy to convey cocaine.
He is scheduled to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, October 24.
