16-y-o charged with housebreaking

Housebreaking and larceny charges have been laid against a 16-year-old boy of Kew district in Hanover following an incident in the community last Friday.

Reports from the Lucea police are that about 5:30 a.m., a man securely locked his house and left for work. He returned later that day and discovered that window blades were missing from his bedroom window. The man made further checks and saw articles of clothing belonging to the accused at a section of the house.

The teen was accosted in the man's yard a day later and handed over to the police. A search was done at the teen's home and several items belonging to the man was found. He later admitted to breaking into the man's home and taking the items. He was subsequently charged.

A court date is being arranged for him.
