Illegal gun found in bag at bus park in Mandeville

Lawmen assigned to the Manchester police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition at a bus park in Mandeville on Monday.

The police report that about 5:05 p.m., police, acting on information, went to the bus park and conducted a search of the area.

During the search, a black leather bag was observed in a corner.

The police say a search of the bag revealed a .38 Revolver, four 9mm cartridges and one .38 round of ammunition.

Investigations are ongoing.
