Jamaican sprinters advance to men’s 100m semi-finals
Jamaican sprinters Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville and Ackeem Blake have all booked their spots in the semi-finals of the men’s 100m at the Paris Games.
The event will be held tomorrow.
It was a reserved yet promising showing from all three Jamaican sprinters in today's heats.
Thompson, the world leader in the event, was the first of the three to get into action as he took heat one in commanding style, easing to a smooth 10.00 seconds clocking.
Seville was next up, stopping the clock at 9.99 to win heat four.
Blake finished second in heat six as he crossed the line in 10.06 behind South African sprinter Akani Simbine, who clocked10.03.
