Residents of New Haven in St Andrew took to the streets in protest following the alleged fatal shooting of a 17-year-old community member by the police early this morning.

The incident reportedly occurred around 4:00 a.m. and has sparked outrage among the residents, who have accused the police of killing the teen, identified as Devon Hall, in cold blood.

They have also accused the police of attempting to cover up the killing.

According to the residents, Hall was shot in the vicinity of Cooreville Gardens on Washington Boulevard and was then allegedly "dumped" by the police in the Duhaney Park Market, which has since been declared an active crime scene.

Despite the police's efforts to disperse the crowd, the residents have remained steadfast in the area, demanding justice for Hall and answers from law enforcement.

The police's information arm, the Constabulary Communications Network (CCN), has not released an official incident report on the matter.
