Detectives assigned to the Kingston East Police Division have charged 22-year-old Kemany Jones, otherwise known as 'Kiddy', a construction worker of Bobo Hill, Nine Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew, in relation to a murder on January 22, 2023.

The deceased is Leon Lindsay, a taxi operator of Taylor Land, Nine Miles, Bull Bay. Jones was charged with murder, using a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and conspiracy to commit murder.

Reports are that at 11:30 p.m., Lindsay was inside his motor car at the above-mentioned location when Jones and another man, armed with firearms, approached him and opened gunfire before fleeing the scene. The police were summoned and on their arrival, Lindsay was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to hospital where his death was confirmed.

The matter was reported to the police, and following an investigation, a targeted operation was conducted at a premises in Bobo Hill, where Jones was arrested. He was charged last Friday after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney. His court date is been finalised.
