Firearm and ammunition seized, two people arrested in St James

Two people have been arrested in connection with the seizure of a firearm and ammunition in St James yesterday.

The Mount Salem police say that during an operation at Coconut Palm between 12:00 p.m. and 7: 00 p.m, a Glock 19 pistol and forty nine millimetre rounds of ammunition were found on a premises.

Lottery scamming paraphernalia was also reportedly seized.

A man and a woman who were on location were taken into custody.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
