Supermarket workers in St Elizabeth charged over theft of white rum
The police in St Elizabeth have charged two male employees at a supermarket over the theft of several bottles of white overproof rum valued at $40,500.
They are 23-year-old Javorn Gardon of Lititz district and 59-year-old Manly Richards of Montpelier district in Manchester, who are charged with simple larceny.
A court date has not been finalised.
It is reported that on Saturday, September 14, the men jointly took five bottles of one gallon white overproof rum from the establishment, before leaving for their private quarters.
A report was made to the police and an investigation commenced.
Evidence led to the arrest and charge of the men.
