Man shot and killed by police in Cassia Park

A man was shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with the police in Cassia Park, St Andrew this morning.

The incident happened along Reece Road.

The identity of the deceased is not known at this time.

The area was cordoned off by the police.

The fatal shooting is also being probed by the Independent Commission of Investigations.

Up to March 25, there have been 78 fatal police shootings.
