1-year-old baby drowns in tub of water, allegedly left unattended by step-father

The St Ann police are investigating the death of a one-year-old baby that drowned after the child's step-father allegedly left the toddler in a tub of water on Tuesday.

Dead is Aliyah Michael of Golden Grove District, St Ann.

Reports are that about 8:30 a.m., Michael was allegedly left in a tub filled with water by the stepfather.

She was later found unresponsive and assisted to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The Claremont police are also probing the matter.
