Roje Williams, goalkeeper for Arnett Gardens F.C was reportedly stabbed Monday night after a Jamaica Premier League game against rivals Tivoli Gardens.

The incident took place at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

Williams was allegedly stabbed by a woman said to be his girlfriend.

Initial reports declared that the former Vere goallie had died from the incident, sending a cloud of gloom over the venue.

However, it was later reported that the player had lost consciousness but was being treated at hospital.

The 24-year-old played for Vere for two seasons before joining Arnett at the start of the current campaign.
