Farmer 'Dup Dap' charged with fatally shooting relative
Twenty-seven-year-old Alton Levy otherwise called 'Dup Dap' of Burkewood district in Rock Hall, St Andrew has been charged with the murder of his relative in his community.
Dead is 33-year-old Fabian Carr otherwise called 'Pop' also from the community.
Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that at about 7:30 p.m., Levy and Carr had a disagreement which escalated into a physical fight.
During which Levy reportedly brandished a firearm and opened gunfire at Carr hitting him in the head and upper body.
On Monday March 17 about 8:00 a.m., the police received information of body seen in a house in the Burkewood community.
The lawmen visited the location and the lifeless body of Carr was seen laying on its back in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds.
An investigation commenced and on Thursday, April 3 at about 10:00 a.m., Levy turned himself in to police and confessed to the offence.
He later brought the police to where he hid the murder weapon and gave a statement thereafter.
He was formally charged for the above mentioned offenses on Monday April 7.
His court date is being finalised.
