Woman charged with stabbing mechanic

The Clarendon police have charged a secretary on Tuesday following an incident with her stabbing a mechanic in the parish.

Twenty-six-year-old Demetria Campbell of Red Ground district in the parish is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

Reports from the Chapelton Police are that about 2:00p.m. on April 7, the two got into a dispute which became physical.

During the altercation Campbell used a knife to inflict wounds to the man's fingers causing wounds that bled.

The man was given medical treatment at hospital and a report made to the police.

Campbell was later pointed out as the culprit in the incident by the complainant.

She was officially charged on April 15 based on the complainant's statement.

A court date for Campbell is being finalised.
