Kidnapped teen rescued, aunt suspected mastermind
The police have successfully rescued a 13-year-old girl who was taken from her home in Clarendon, and later found under a bed in a house with other children and her aunt in St Catherine.
Reports are that on April 7, the child was at home in Four Paths, Clarendon when she was taken by persons who are known to her.
She was then lured to an undisclosed location where the kidnappers took her.
A report was then made to the police, and an investigation was launched.
On Tuesday, April 15, the police went to a house in Ewarton, St Catherine, where the child was reportedly seen under a bed in the house that her aunt occupies.
The police suspect that her aunt is the mastermind in this crime.
A total of six persons, including three children, were seen at the premises and were taken into custody.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation
